Retiree Open Enrollment for 2026 Benefits
Important Note: Henrico County’s Retiree Benefits Open Enrollment reminder letter was recently mailed to our retiree population. During the mail merge process used to create address labels, some letters were inadvertently printed with an incorrect first name. We sincerely apologize for this error and any confusion it may have caused. Please be assured that the letter was a general communication sent to all retirees and did not include any personal identifiers or information specific to individual retiree benefits. All names and addresses remain accurate and secure within our systems.
The Retiree Open Enrollment Period for 2026 benefits is Saturday, November 1, 2025, through Thursday, November 25, 2025. Changes will be effective January 1, 2026.
Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to enroll or change your coverage and add or drop dependents for your health and/or dental plans. The only other time you are able to make changes to your benefits is when you experience a qualifying event.
