See How Your Healthcare Benefits Compare!
We’ve updated the visuals below to show how your 2025 healthcare plans stack up against those offered by nearby localities. This gives you a clear look at the strong value we provide and how we remain competitive. You’ll also find information about premium cost sharing for 2026 and key changes to be aware of.

This chart compares the monthly premiums of the standard, premium, and high-deductible health care plans offered by Henrico County, Chesterfield County, Hanover County, and Richmond City in 2025 as well as Henrico's 2026 premiums. While Henrico's 2026 premiums did increase from 2025, they are, in most cases, less expensive than the 2025 premiums of the other localities. The most notable exceptions are various “EE Only” premiums and Hanover's Standard plan premiums.
A color-coded chart comparing the cost share of the monthly premiums of the various Henrico health care plans between the County and employees for 2025 and 2026. Depending on family size, employees will see a $20-$60 raise in their monthly premiums for 2026.

Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to enroll or change your coverage and add or drop dependents for your health, dental, short-term income protection, and flexible spending accounts (FSA). The only other time you are able to make changes to your benefits is when you experience a qualifying event.
