Open Enrollment for 2027 Benefits
Open Enrollment will be from October 3, 2026 through October 30, 2026. All changes must be submitted through Employee Direct Access by 4:30 pm. All changes will become effective January 1, 2027.
Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to enroll or change your coverage and add or drop dependents for your health, dental, short-term income protection, and flexible spending accounts (FSA). The only other time you are able to make changes to your benefits is when you experience a qualifying event. Please follow these Step-by-Step Enrollment Instructions to make your benefit selections.

- In the meantime, there are no plan design changes for 2027, so you can use the 2026 Delta Dental Booklet as a reference while you review your options during Open Enrollment.
Flexible Spending Accounts
- Annual contribution limit for Health Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) $3,400.
- Annual contribution limit for Dependent (day care) FSA $7,500 per household.
- Up to $660 will carryover from your healthcare FSA into 2027. Up to $680 will carryover into 2028.
- TASC FSA Eligible Expenses
- Dependent Care FSA Qualifications: Pay for eligible child and adult care expenses, such as day care, preschool and nursery school, in-home aid, and more. Funds are for your dependent(s) under age 13 or a spouse or dependent incapable of self-care.

Note: *If you are a VRS Hybrid Plan Member, you are automatically enrolled in the Hybrid Disability Plan once you have been employed with Henrico County for one (1) year. You are not eligible to change your STIP election during Open Enrollment.

Anthem Machine Readable Files
Transparency in Coverage (TIC) regulations require health insurers and group health plans to create machine readable files (MRFs) that contain the negotiated rates for in-network providers and allowed amounts derived from historical claims for out-of-network providers and make those files publicly available. A machine-readable file is a digital representation of data or information in a file that can be imported or read by a computer system for further processing without human intervention.
