Open Enrollment for 2026 benefits will be from Saturday, October 4, 2025, through Friday, October 31, 2025. All changes must be submitted through Employee Direct Access by 4:30 pm. All changes will become effective January 1, 2026.

Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to enroll or change your coverage and add or drop dependents for your health, dental, short-term income protection, and flexible spending accounts (FSA). The only other time you are able to make changes to your benefits is when you experience a qualifying event.

- Two (2) Open Enrollment Information Sessions Stop by to meet with representatives from various vendors and the HR Benefits and Fitness & Wellness Divisions! Get your questions answered, and learn more about your benefits directly from the experts! All employees who attend one of our on-site information sessions will be entered into a raffle drawing! Prizes have been generously donated by our vendors – so don’t miss your chance to win something fun while learning more about your benefits. No sign-up is required. Sessions will be “open house” style. In order to best assist you, you will need to be able to log in to Employee Direct Access.

Flexible Spending Accounts
- Annual contribution limit for Health Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) $3,300
- Up to $660 will carryover from your healthcare FSA into 2027. Up to $640 will carryover into 2026.

Group Short-Term & Long-Term Income Protection (MetLife)
Note: *If you are a VRS Hybrid Plan Member, you are automatically enrolled in the Hybrid Disability Plan once you have been employed with Henrico County for one (1) year. You are not eligible to change your STIP election during Open Enrollment.
Voluntary Benefits
Open Enrollment for Voluntary Benefits will also be from October 4, 2025 – October 31, 2025. Enrollments and changes to your voluntary benefits are handled through Pierce Insurance Agency, Inc. on the web at pierceins.com/henrico or call 800-421-3142 ext. 170.
