Three years ago, Henrico CASA launched this podcast to help raise awareness around the challenges we see facing children and families in our community… What started as a resource for CASA’s volunteers has turned into a resource for a much wider audience – parents, teachers, social workers, etc. – because each episode provides education and practical insights to empower listeners to be stronger advocates for the children in their lives.
Shout to Henrico County Public Relations for this accomplishment, too! Their support, encouragement, and shared resources have made the podcast logistically possible!!
Henrico County is seeking input from the community to support development of a Climate Action and Adaptation Strategy (CAAS), and employees can participate by providing feedback in an employee survey, attending a public meeting and participating in a staff focus group.
The CAAS is designed to help county operations and the broader community reduce greenhouse gas emissions and build resilience in preparation for more frequent and severe weather resulting from climate change.
Employees can share their perspectives on local climate action and provide feedback in a staff survey through March 16.
Employees can sign up for a focus group discussion scheduled for 1-2:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at Libbie Mill Library, 2100 Libbie Lake E. St.
Employees also can provide feedback and learn about the CAAS at any of several open-house public meetings scheduled to begin next week:
