The Henrico County Police Division and Solid Waste Division have partnered to bring you this free Crime Prevention Program to STOP IDENTITY THEFT! This event is taking place on Saturday, October 8th 2022, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Western Henrico Government Center.
FREE DOCUMENT SHREDDING
Document shredding Limitations:
2 boxes (10″ x 13″ x 18″) full or
3 paper grocery bags full
NO recyclable paper items accepted.
Free document shredding for personal documents ONLY
DO NOT USE PLASTIC BAGS to bring shredding materials–paper bags or boxes only!
FREE ELECTRONICS RECYCLING is separate from the document shredding.
Items accepted at no charge:
Computer systems (hard drive, CPU, monitor)
Computer accessories (cables, wires, keyboards, mice, speakers, etc.)
Printers
Copiers
Scanners
FAX machines
VCRs
Camcorders
Stereos
Micro-wave ovens
Items accepted with fee:
The following items require special handling due to the leaded glass and mercury they contain. Payment is accepted by cash or check only.
TVs less than 27″ – $23
TVs larger than 27″ – $30
Items not accepted:
- Compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs)
- Refrigerators
- Dehumidifiers
- AC units
