Hanukkah (Chanukah) is a Jewish eight-day festival of lights that commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple of Jerusalem during the second century B.C. For eight nights, Jews light the menorah and celebrate by eating traditional foods such as latkes and sufganiyot to celebrate.
