December 2... Annual Tree Lighting—4:30 - 6:30 p.m., Walkerton Tavern. Celebrate the annual tree lighting event at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. We welcome the community to this very special holiday event featuring holiday music and a toasty bonfire, hot chocolate and cookies. Old St. Nick makes his spectacular arrival just in time for the countdown to light a 60-foot cedar tree. Event is free.
December 5... Tax Payment Deadline—Henrico County Taxpayers second installment personal property and real estate tax payment due.
December 9... James River Parade of Lights—4:00 - 8:00 p.m., Osborne Park and Boat Landing. Sail into the season with the lighted boat parade sponsored by the James River Advisory Council in cooperation with Henrico Recration and Parks. Event is free.
December 10... Santa Paws—11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Short Pump Park. Enjoy a holiday photo keepsake with Santa himself, shop local vendors for one-of-a-kind gifts for your furry friends, and let your pup play in the dog park. Concessions will be available for purchase. Event is free.
December 15... Senior Holiday Celebration—10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Eastern Henrico Recreation Center. Join us for a fun-filled event while mingling with friends, dancing, and listening to festive music. Light refreshments provided. RSVP at 804-501-5065 or [email protected].
December 25... Christmas Day—County offices will be closed.
December 26... Day After Christmas—County offices will be closed.
