DESCRIPTION:Henrico is celebrating Bike Month! \nFrom 5:00-7:00 p.m.\, join us for a HenBIKEo Safety Workshop:\n\n\nOn The Pier at Libbie Mill\, learn about road use safety and Henrico County’s infrastructure improvements from Public Works and Recreation and Parks with giveaways\, a Safety Pledge\, and crafts.\nIn the Libbie Mill Library parking lot\, kids can develop their cycling skills with the Bike Police.\n\n\nAfter the workshop\, Blue Ridge Cyclery invites cyclists of all ages and abilities on a ride with Public Works. Starting from and ending at the Pier\, this supported group ride will have 1.5-mile and 7.5-mile options with five stops. Representatives from Public Works and Bike Walk RVA will present on upcoming bike lanes and trails.\n \nView the route (The 1.5-mile option turns around after the Bethlehem Road presentation.)\n \nThe ride will depart promptly at 7:00 p.m. with the 7.5-mile riders returning by 8:00 p.m.. Helmets and front and rear bike lights are required by law.\n \nCan’t make it? Parham Road). \nThis is an opportunity to learn about our agency’s role within the county which includes providing innovative and collaborative police services for a safe and thriving Henrico. \nWe are currently hiring for our 88th Basic Police Academy (BPA) and 18th Modified Police Academy (MPA). New police recruits have a starting salary of $64\,038. Virginia DCJS and Out-of-State certified police officers may be eligible for a higher salary depending upon experience. \nWHAT TO BRING:\nIf you plan on attending the job fair\, please bring two of the following items with you: \n\nDriver’s License\nPassport\nSocial Security Card\nBirth Certificate\n\nYou’re also encouraged to bring your highest level of education transcripts and any other applicable document with you. \nWHAT TO EXPECT:\nWe will be offering on-site preliminary interviews at this event!
