DESCRIPTION:The Henrico County Police Division will host two information sessions on internet crimes against children in April. \nIn 2024\, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) received more than 546\,000 reports of online enticement worldwide. \n“Behind the Screen” is a Henrico Police Special Victims Unit (SVU) initiative focused on providing information to parents\, guardians and caregivers to protect children in a digital world. \nThese information sessions are scheduled for: \n\nApril 9\, 2026\, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Deep Run Recreation Center (Ridgefield Ballroom)\, 9900 Ridgefield Parkway; and\nApril 14\, 2026\, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Eastern Henrico Recreation Center (Strawberry Hill Ballroom)\, 1440 N. DESCRIPTION:Henrico is celebrating Bike Month! \nFrom 5:00-7:00 p.m.\, join us for a HenBIKEo Safety Workshop:\n\n\nOn The Pier at Libbie Mill\, learn about road use safety and Henrico County’s infrastructure improvements from Public Works and Recreation and Parks with giveaways\, a Safety Pledge\, and crafts.\nIn the Libbie Mill Library parking lot\, kids can develop their cycling skills with the Bike Police.\n\n\nAfter the workshop\, Blue Ridge Cyclery invites cyclists of all ages and abilities on a ride with Public Works. Starting from and ending at the Pier\, this supported group ride will have 1.5-mile and 7.5-mile options with five stops. Representatives from Public Works and Bike Walk RVA will present on upcoming bike lanes and trails.\n \nView the route (The 1.5-mile option turns around after the Bethlehem Road presentation.)\n \nThe ride will depart promptly at 7:00 p.m. with the 7.5-mile riders returning by 8:00 p.m..
