This family-friendly event is for kids of all ages! \nStop by anytime between 5:00 and 7:00 PM to: \n\nTest your cycling skills at the Bike Rodeo\nLearn about adaptive cycling with Sportable\nWatch Conte’s Bike Shop demonstrate bike maintenance\nMake a Safety Pizza flag\nGrab a bike light and a hi-vis vest\nTake the Safety Pledge and receive a reflective HenBIKEo sticker\nKona Ice will be there! Kids can receive a free iced treat if they do all the activities (while supplies last).\n\nBikes will be available at the event\, or you can bring your own! \nYou can also look forward to HenBIKEo\, a new Recreation and Parks special event\, on September 20 at Crump Park. \n

DESCRIPTION: \n\nAre you interested in becoming a foster parent? Please attend the Henrico County Department of Social Service’s  free information session to learn how you can support local children and their families. \nRepresentatives from Social Services will review eligibility requirements\, resources the county and state will provide to foster parents\, the different ways you can open your home for youth in foster care\, and more. \nWe are in need of families for all ages\, especially: \n\nYouth aged 12 and older.\nLarge sibling groups (2 children or more) – you must have room to accommodate the children.\nFamilies that can care for young children (aged 0-4) who cannot attend daycare for one reason or another\, including\, but not limited to:\n\nNewborns (too young/not eligible for daycare);\nMedical needs (child needs to be stabilized before he or she will be able to go to daycare); or\nChild has experienced trauma thus transitions/multiple caretakers need to be minimized.\n\n\n\nPlease visit our website for more information: https://henrico.gov/dss/foster-parenting/become-a-foster-parent/
