SUMMARY:The Virginia Capital Trail Cap2Cap Ride
DESCRIPTION:Cap2Cap presented by Dominion Energy is the annual bike ride and fundraiser event for the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation.  It’s a celebration of cycling and community on the Virginia Capital Trail (VCT)!  The ride features four distance options: Century (100 miles)\, Half Century (50 miles)\, Quarter Century (25 miles)\, and 7-mile Family Fun Ride. Riders can also opt in for a 2-Day Challenge and spend the whole weekend with us out on the Trail. Can’t make the ride in person? We’ve got a Virtual option that allows you to ride any day during the entire month of May! \n\nThe 2026 Genworth | CareScout Cap2Cap presented by Dominion Energy has an Open-Start format\, meaning you can start and finish whenever and wherever you like to ride along the Virginia Capital Trail.  Not sure where to start? Check out these suggested routes! \nEnjoy the Party Zones at Chickahominy Riverfront Park on Friday\, May 8th and at Dorey Park on Saturday\, May 9th. DESCRIPTION:Henrico is celebrating Bike Month! \nFrom 5:00-7:00 p.m.\, join us for a HenBIKEo Safety Workshop:\n\n\nOn The Pier at Libbie Mill\, learn about road use safety and Henrico County’s infrastructure improvements from Public Works and Recreation and Parks with giveaways\, a Safety Pledge\, and crafts.\nIn the Libbie Mill Library parking lot\, kids can develop their cycling skills with the Bike Police.\n\n\nAfter the workshop\, Blue Ridge Cyclery invites cyclists of all ages and abilities on a ride with Public Works. Starting from and ending at the Pier\, this supported group ride will have 1.5-mile and 7.5-mile options with five stops. Representatives from Public Works and Bike Walk RVA will present on upcoming bike lanes and trails.\n \nView the route (The 1.5-mile option turns around after the Bethlehem Road presentation.)\n \nThe ride will depart promptly at 7:00 p.m. with the 7.5-mile riders returning by 8:00 p.m..
