DESCRIPTION:October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic Violence (DV) impacts the victim\, the family\, the entire community. Join the Commonwealth Attorney’s office for a discussion on DV and its community impact. \nLaw enforcement\, victim advocates\, residents and others will discuss available resources and how a case evolved and impacted them. The event also will honor law enforcement officers who have shown their commitment to helping people at their most vulnerable. The public is invited to attend and show support for survivors and victims of intimate partner violence. \nDomestic violence can impact anyone. In 2025\, the Henrico Police Division responded to 4\,883 calls for help in domestic violence situations.
