Since then\, Student Government Day has given students from each of our high schools a day to work alongside and learn from the county’s government and school officials. While it will culminate with a spring event to celebrate and share what the participants have learned\, the program is designed to provide sustained learning and hands-on experiences through occasional touch points that begin in the fall. We would like to invite everyone to join our walk to raise awareness and show support for survivors in our community. \nThis year’s theme of KINSHIP is a call to action to recognize that shared humanity should be at the center of supporting all survivors and victims of crime. KINSHIP is a state of being with survivors that drives vital connections and increases access to services rights and healing. While each playhouse has its own distinctive design\, they all share the theme “Enchanted Childhoods” — a reminder that\, for the up to 400 children Henrico CASA serves each year\, childhood has not always been a fairytale.
