SUMMARY:Henrico Live: Eli Lev
DESCRIPTION: \n\n\nRising singer-songwriter Eli Lev is making the world a smaller place\, one song at a time. Eli pens lyrics and melodies for everyday enlightenment—songs that resonate because they’re heartfelt\, earthy\, and offer the wisdom he’s gained through lifelong travel and self-discovery. The Maryland-based artist has just completed his epic Four Directions project which includes four EPs that were inspired by indigenous traditions he learned while teaching on the Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona. His four part EP releases\, All Roads East (2017) and Way out West (2018)\, Deep South (2019)\, and True North (2021) – imaginatively and intrepidly connect spheres and generations within a body of work that is irresistibly uplifting\, emotionally resonant\, and down-to-earth. A cross between The Avett Brothers and The Lumineers\, Lev has opened for both Shooter Jennings and Lee DeWyze\, performed at The Kennedy Center and 9:30 Club in Washington\, DC\, and toured extensively around the world.\n\n\n\n\nHenrico Live Summer Series Tickets are on sale now! \nIndividual Tickets go on sale Wed\, May 28 at 12pm. \nTo purchase tickets\, go to henricolive.com or visit the box office.

SUMMARY:Pop-up Pet Adoption Event
DESCRIPTION: \n\nThe Henrico Police Animal Shelter is hosting an outdoor pop-up pet adoption event (rain or shine). Cats\, dogs\, rabbits and guinea pigs are looking for loving homes! \nCommunity members are invited to meet pets available for adoption and help future animals in need of care. Thanks to the sponsorships from Henrico Humane Society\, Furbish Thrift and the William A. Harrison Jr. Foundation\, any dogs who are already spayed or neutered are ready to go home with their adopters the same day with just a $10 adoption fee. \nPets who have not already been spayed or neutered will have additional fees for their procedures. The spay or neuter will be scheduled upon adoption and will be ready to go home with their families shortly after! \n“Every adoption is a double win for us; a pet goes home with their new family\, and we gain space to support incoming lost and stray animals” said shelter manager Pamela Bridgmon. “Over 100 shelter dogs have found homes as a result of these events in the past 11 months\, thanks to the community and our wonderful volunteers.” \nAdopters must be 18 or older\, but are not required to be Henrico County residents. Adopters will need to have a valid photo ID and pay an adoption fee\, which varies upon the spay/neuter status of the pet. \nAll pets available for adoption can be viewed online on our PetFinder and AdoptaPet pages.
