Main St. in Richmond. \nRegional Recovery Day is presented by the counties of Henrico\, Chesterfield and Hanover and the city of Richmond to celebrate the hope\, strength and resilience of individuals in recovery. \nLaunched in September 2024 to coincide with National Recovery Month\, Regional Recovery Day is designed to combat the stigma associated with substance use disorder and connect individuals with community resources and support. \nThe first two Regional Recovery Day events were held at the Henrico Sports & Events Center and featured vendors\, expert speakers and panel discussions. Greene\, Jr.\, who passed away March 7\, 2019. Mr. Greene touched the hearts of many people and helped others change their lives for the better. We will forever hold Bernard in our hearts for all he has done for the community and the Henrico County Recovery Court.  \nThis event will feature a prize raffle for a week’s stay in Nags Head\, NC. DESCRIPTION:The Henrico County Police Animal Protection Unit will hold its Fall Rabies Clinic on Oct. 17\, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Western Henrico Government Center (4301 E. Parham Road). \nRabies vaccinations are $20 each\, cash only! Cats must be in carriers. Pets from all localities are welcome. \nRegistration and payment are done first inside the Administration building in the Cashier’s Office. You will then proceed to veterinarian on the first level of the parking deck adjacent to the Administration Building. \nHenrico County dog licenses will also be available. The lifetime license fee is $10. The license is for the life of the dog and is valid as long as the dog’s owner resides in the County and the dog’s rabies vaccination is kept current. The license is void if the dog does not receive a rabies vaccination within 30 days of the expiration of the dog’s current rabies vaccination. \nContact the Henrico Police Animal Shelter at 804-727-8801 (open Monday-Saturday\, 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.) with any further questions.

Join the Commonwealth Attorney’s office for a discussion on DV and its community impact. \nLaw enforcement\, victim advocates\, residents and others will discuss available resources and how a case evolved and impacted them. The event also will honor law enforcement officers who have shown their commitment to helping people at their most vulnerable. The public is invited to attend and show support for survivors and victims of intimate partner violence. \nDomestic violence can impact anyone. In 2025\, the Henrico Police Division responded to 4\,883 calls for help in domestic violence situations.
