Parham Road). \nThis is an opportunity to learn about our agency’s role within the county which includes providing innovative and collaborative police services for a safe and thriving Henrico. \nWe are currently hiring for our 87th Basic Police Academy (BPA) and 17th Modified Police Academy. New police recruits have a starting salary of $64\,038\, Virginia DCJS and Out-of-State certified police officers may be eligible for a higher salary depending upon experience. \nWHAT TO BRING:\nIf you plan on attending the job fair\, please bring two of the following items with you: \n\nDriver’s License\nPassport\nSocial Security Card\nBirth Certificate\n\nYou’re also encouraged to bring your highest level of education transcripts and any other applicable document with you. \nWHAT TO EXPECT:\nWe will be offering on-site preliminary interviews at this event! SUMMARY:Fixin’ to go Home for the Holidays pet adoption event
DESCRIPTION:The Henrico County Police Animal Shelter will hold an adoption event on Saturday\, Dec. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 10421 Woodman Road. \nHelp pets find homes so that they can spend the holidays – and a lifetime – with their new families\, thanks to the generous sponsorship from community partners! The William A. Harrison Jr. Foundation and Furbish Thrift are sponsoring the spay and neuter surgeries for the animals\, and the Henrico Humane Society is sponsoring the adoption fees of any pets adopted during the event. \nSussex County and Petersburg City animal services are partnering with the shelter for this event and will bring adoptable pets from their shelters as well. \nA quick reminder to potential adopters: Pets are not presents; they are long-term commitments to care for\, and one that is so worth it! Please talk to shelter staff for any recommendations on finding a veterinarian\, groomer or other animal care services. \nBeing a resident of Henrico is not required to adopt a pet from the shelter! People interested in pet adoption must be 18 or older and will need to provide a valid photo ID.
